Coding Club
Valley View Coding Club allows students the opportunity to learn coding skills and build projects using programs a program called Scratch. An online registration link will be made available through Valley View’s Weekly Wednesday on September 13, 2023.
A max of 30 students can participate due to the amount of equipment and space available. We will begin filling slots with 5th grade students that have not participated previously, then 4th grade students. Our goal is for any interested students to participate one time during their 4th or 5th grade year as the instruction is the same each year. Any remaining spots will then be filled with students that have already participated. You will be notified if your child has been accepted or not via email on Friday, September 22.
Please review the 2023-24 dates below to make sure your child is available before signing them up because attendance is important. Students with 2 or more unexcused absences will be dropped from the club to allow for another student to participate.
2023-24 Valley View Coding Club dates are 3:15-4:15 pm on the following Tuesdays:
- October 17 & 24
- November 14
- December 12
- January 23 & 30
- February 20 & 27
