ROBOTICS CLUB
Pioneer Robotics Club revolves around learning the basics of robotics and building a robot using VEX IQ robotics kits. An online registration link will be made available through Pioneer’s Weekly Wednesday on September 13, 2023.
A max of 24 students can participate due to the amount of kits available. We will begin filling slots with 5th grade students that have not participated previously, then 4th grade students. Our goal is for any interested students to participate one time during their 4th or 5th grade year as the instruction is the same each year. Any remaining spots will then be filled with students that have already participated. You will be notified if your child has been accepted or not via email by Friday, September 22.
Please review the 2023-24 dates below to make sure your child is available before signing them up because attendance will be important. Students with 2 or more unexcused absences will be dropped from the club to allow for another student to participate.
2023-24 Pioneer Robotics Club dates are 3:15-4:15 pm on the following Thursdays:
- October 12
- November 9
- December 7
- January 11
- February 8
- March 14
CODING CLUB
Pioneer Coding Club allows students the opportunity to learn coding skills and build projects using a program called Scratch. An online registration link will be made available through Pioneer’s Weekly Wednesday on September 13, 2023.
A max of 30 students can participate due to the amount of equipment and space available. We will begin filling slots with 5th grade students that have not participated previously, then 4th grade students. Our goal is for any interested students to participate one time during their 4th or 5th grade year as the instruction is the same each year. Any remaining spots will then be filled with students that have already participated. You will be notified if your child has been accepted or not via email by Friday, September 22.
