Cormier School & Early Learning Center
Cormier School has a long and rich history beginning in 1872 when Louis and Sophia Poquette donated the land for the first public school in Ashwaubenon. "East School" opened May 4, 1872. The present building was constructed in 1913 and renamed Cormier School after James Cormier I. Building additions were made in the 1950's. The school was closed in 1982 due to declining enrollment. Cormier proudly reopened in 1992 as a kindergarten school and early learning center. Today, the students, staff and families that pass through our doors carry on the legacy and love of learning.
At Cormier we are committed to the education of young children by offering a safe and inviting environment that promotes joyful, lifelong learning with high expectations for each child. We also commit ourselves to a philosophy, which fosters strong family, school and community partnerships.
